SUPERMAX GEARBOX- DUAL SPEED (TRAILER GEARBOX)

A SUPERMAX Dual Speed Gearbox, commonly referred to as a Trailer Gearbox, is a mechanical transmission unit designed to provide two selectable output speed ranges from a single input speed. It is typically used in trailer-mounted and mobile equipment where different operating speeds are required for efficient operation, transport, or auxiliary functions.

Function

The gearbox receives rotational power from an input source, such as a PTO, hydraulic motor, or other drive system, and transmits it to the trailer or driven equipment through a set of gears. The operator can select between high-speed and low-speed ratios to match the required operating conditions.

• Low-speed range: Provides higher torque and slower output speed, useful for heavy loads, starting, or demanding operating conditions.

• High-speed range: Provides faster output rotation, suitable for lighter loads, transport, or applications requiring increased operating speed.

• Dual-speed selection: Allows the same drive system to operate efficiently under different load and speed requirements.

• Torque multiplication: The low-speed ratio increases available output torque while reducing output speed.

• Power transmission: Transfers engine or PTO power reliably to the trailer's driven components.
