MULTI-MOUNT GEARBOX-SINGLE SPEED (TRAILER GEARBOX)

A Multi-Mount Gearbox – Single Speed (Trailer Gearbox) is a mechanical transmission unit used on trailers and towed equipment to transfer rotational power from the trailer’s input shaft to one or more driven components at a fixed speed ratio.

Function

• Power transfer: Receives rotary power from a PTO, driveshaft, or other power source and transfers it to the trailer’s driven system.

• Speed reduction/increase: Uses a fixed gear ratio to change the input speed to the required output speed.

• Torque multiplication: Converts higher input speed into increased output torque when a reduction ratio is used.

• Multi-mount capability: Provides mounting flexibility so the gearbox can be installed in different orientations or mounting configurations depending on trailer design.

• Single-speed operation: Provides one fixed forward operating ratio rather than multiple selectable speeds.

• Mechanical protection: A properly lubricated and enclosed gear train protects the gears and bearings from contamination and helps ensure reliable power transmission.
