Bearing Buddy 7K (PAIR)

⚙️ Main Function

A Bearing Buddy’s job is to protect and maintain the trailer wheel bearings by:

• Keeping grease inside the hub
• Preventing water, dirt, and contaminants from entering
• Maintaining proper internal pressure

🧠 How It Works (Key Mechanism)

1. Replaces the dust cap

It installs in place of the regular hub cap on your trailer wheel.

2. Spring-loaded piston system

Inside the unit is a spring-loaded piston that:

• Applies constant light pressure (~3 PSI) on the grease
• Keeps the hub slightly pressurized

👉 This is critical because:

• When hot hubs are submerged in water (like boat trailers), cooling can create a vacuum
• That vacuum would normally suck water into the bearings
• The Bearing Buddy prevents that by maintaining positive pressure

3. Grease fitting (zerk fitting)

On the front is a grease nipple:

• You attach a grease gun
• Pump grease directly into the hub
• The piston moves outward as grease fills

4. Automatic pressure control

• If you add too much grease, the system relieves excess pressure
• Prevents blowing out rear seals
